“Enjoyment of the landscape is a thrill.”
Set into the car free zone in town, This attractive walkway belonging to the new building of Cogebank was designed and built by CARL Green Tech one of the three departments at CARL GROUP Ltd. This landscape with its attractive walkways helps cool and warm the building when necessary.

The true test of any landscape and walkways is how they look. As I turned onto the car free zone in town, next to where I was going to have lunch on a rainy day, I saw a building. The first things I noticed were cyclamen and astilbe flowers that are circled by a walkway that attracts many people’s attention passing by. My first move was to ask 2 young men and 1 woman that were cleaning the building’s window. I wanted to know what the building was for and who the owner was. I was not surprised by the answer mentioning one of the popular banks in Rwanda, Cogebank. My intention was not really to know the owner. The people behind that tremendously attractive landscape and walkway that give value to the house was my intentions.
By the time I was still thinking about whether I should ask who designed and built the landscape and walkway that were swallowing my lunch time, I heard a treble and confident voice of one guy that was wearing a red T-shirt on which it was written “CARL GROUP Ltd” in Bold and capital black letter with an italic line of words. That was “Carl Green tech”. He was briefing a team of 3 ladies wearing the same t-shirts and other 6 men that were busy digging behind the building.
I introduced myself and as I didn’t have much to say or where to start with the curious questions I decided to let him introduce himself and that was the gentleman I needed for sure. “Call me Regis, the Founder and director of CARL Group ltd”. I and the ladies (Clarisse, Ada and Larissa) are the ones building the walkways and landscape.” He said with his treble voice as he unfolds his arms to shake my hand. I was shocked like how can they be building and yet it looks like the end?
Are you building it or you are already finished with it? I asked.
The answer to this question is what pushed me to write this article.
“Chris we are Up for Innovation and that’s why our ongoing work looks like a finished task to others” He replied smiling as the ladies were nodding their heads.
Nowadays, finding a very huge and beautiful building in Rwanda is no longer a surprise due to the fast development. But who would care if the big buildings and houses that are growing days and nights are there without landscapes with a touch from the most talented passionate innovative minds? I learnt from the CARL Group’s team that this was their very recent project in the Green Tech department and I do not doubt on the success of both the previous projects and the current ones. You will see in the few photos that I was able to take with my phone how the landscape view and walkways supplement the great look of the building.
